C’è un piccolo pezzo di paradiso in Liguria che merita di essere visitato e fotografato: i giardini botanici Hanbury sul confine con la Francia.
Il merito di questa lussureggiante raccolta di piante provenienti da tutto il mondo si deve a Sir Thomas Hanbury che ristrutturò anche l’antica Villa romana, trasformandola in elegante palazzo dalla cui terrazza si può godere di una magnifica vista. Le mie parole, tuttavia, sono superflue: le immagini che allego al post meglio renderanno l’idea del tripudio di colori. Peccato solo non possano trasmettervi anche le aromatiche essenze che si respirano in quei boschetti…

There is a little piece of heaven in Liguria that deserves to be visited and photographed: the Hanbury Gardens on the border with France.
The merit of this lush collection of plants from all over the world is due to Sir Thomas Hanbury who also rebuilt the ancient Roman villa, transforming it into an elegant palace from whose terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view.
But my words are just outline: the pictures that I attach to the post better make the idea of a riot of colors.
Too bad they can not even convey the aromatic essences smelled in those woods…
